Join the Merchant’s Guild and Access the Bazaar
To start farming gold effectively, you need to join the Merchant’s Guild faction. This faction gives you access to the Bazaar, a vital feature for trading with other players. You can choose your faction during Chapter 9 of the campaign in the city of Maj’elka. After completing the Merchants and Fortune Tellers quest, you’ll be introduced to both the Circle of Fortune and the Merchant’s Guild factions. While the Circle of Fortune is focused on enhancing your personal gear, the Merchant’s Guild is all about gold farming.
If you’re uncertain about which faction to choose, don’t worry! You can switch factions at any time, although you’ll lose access to faction-specific equipment and features until you return. Your rank in the faction is preserved, so you don’t lose your progress.
Navigating the Bazaar
Once you’ve joined the Merchant’s Guild, press Y to open the Factions window and click the Visit Bazaar button to teleport there. The Bazaar is a bustling trading hub where you can buy and sell items with other players. Here’s how to make the most of it:
Sell Items: You can sell almost anything, except items tagged by factions or those marked as "Cannot be Traded." There’s no gold commission for selling, but you’ll need to buy Last Epoch gold pay with Favor, a faction currency earned by slaying mobs and completing quests. Favor also boosts your reputation with the Merchant’s Guild, which unlocks new ranks and allows you to buy specific items from the Bazaar.
